US ZIP codes to county, time zone and demographics
Look up any US ZIP and get one clean record: city, state, county and FIPS, coordinates, time zone with today's UTC offset, and Census demographics. Also every ZIP within N miles, every ZIP of a city, the nearest ZIP to a point and ZIP-to-ZIP distance.

Who it's for
Anyone who has ZIP codes and needs the facts behind them, from a spreadsheet user to an AI agent.
Fill city, state, county and time zone from the ZIP a customer typed, and fix ZIPs Excel stripped of their leading zero.
List every ZIP within 5, 10 or 25 miles of a store or rep, closest first.
Add population, income, home value and rent per ZIP from the Census ACS.
Answer "which county is 07102 in?" or "ZIPs near 60614" with sourced JSON over MCP.
Try it
Enter up to 10 ZIP codes. Ziplore returns the county, time zone and Census numbers for each.

}Limits, plainly
Free and rate limited so it stays fast for everyone. Big lists: a Starter key ($19/month) lifts it to 120 calls a minute and 60,000 a month, up to 600,000 ZIPs at 10 per call.
- 20 calls per minute per IP address.
- Up to 10 ZIPs per lookup call.
- Radius up to 25 miles, up to 50 results per call.
- Free tier: 200 calls a day per IP, no key; paid API keys from $19/month (or $5 pay-as-you-go) lift it. The whole ZIP table lives in memory at the edge, so calls take milliseconds.
Get an API key
US ZIP code API from public-domain Census data: city, state, county FIPS, coordinates, time zone and ACS demographics, radius search, nearest ZIP and distance, answered in milliseconds at the edge.
14-day money-back promise: if it doesn't work as described, email us within 14 days and we fix it or refund you in full. Refund terms.

FAQ
Why not a free ZIP CSV?
A CSV gives you rows; Ziplore also fixes ZIPs Excel stripped of their leading zero, accepts ZIP+4 and whole addresses, adds today's UTC offset, and does radius and reverse lookups for you.
Where does the data come from?
GeoNames postal codes (CC BY 4.0), the US Census 2024 Gazetteer, American Community Survey 2020-2024 5-year estimates and the Census ZIP-to-county file. Every response carries the attribution.
How many ZIPs are covered?
41,682, including Puerto Rico, the island areas and military (APO/FPO/DPO) ZIPs. PO-box-only ZIPs have no Census demographics; that is shown as zipKind.
Can I look up thousands of ZIPs?
Yes. Every call takes up to 10 ZIPs. Free: 200 calls a day (2,000 ZIPs). A Starter key ($19/month) allows 60,000 calls a month at 120 a minute, so a 10,000-ZIP list takes 1,000 calls and under 10 minutes; Pro ($39/month) allows 250,000 calls at 300 a minute.
Why not Zipcodebase or ZipCodeAPI?
Price per call and what you get back. Zipcodebase Developer is $45 for 60,000 requests a month (about $0.75 per 1,000) and ZipCodeStack Small $34.99 for 70,000; a Ziplore Starter key is $19 for 60,000 calls of up to 10 ZIPs (about $0.32 per 1,000), and each call returns county FIPS, time zone with today's UTC offset and Census demographics in one record. Public prices checked 27 Sep 2026. Ziplore also works as an MCP server for AI agents with the same key.
Is there a key or a cost?
The free tier needs no key: 200 calls a day and 20 a minute per IP. For more, an API key costs $19/month for 60,000 calls or $39/month for 250,000 (yearly billing gives 2 months free), or $5 once for 12,000 calls that never expire (see Get an API key); send it as the x-api-key header. Failed calls are not counted.
